Welcome to Marrakesh Trading House!

We are based in the United States and work in unison with various independent artisans, both men and women, from around Morocco in creating traditional and modern handcrafted Moroccan décor products handmade using naturally organic material sourced locally from various regions in Morocco.

Our operations in Morocco are based out of Marrakesh, an ancient imperial city in southern Morocco, referred to as the "Red City" and reflected in our name. Marrakesh has always been a center of trade and diversity and is composed of numerous artisans of different artisanal traditions from around Morocco. It is essentially a microcosm of Morocco's broader artisanal traditions. We want to represent that diversity and share it with you and the rest of the world.

We hope to progressively bring Morocco’s rich and diverse artisanal and cultural traditions into perspective. In doing so, we hope to preserve Morocco's artisanal traditions and support the many artisans who have up to this moment in history preserved them. We also hope to include vintage artisanal pieces as part of our vintage collection.

We want to provide Moroccan artisans from around Morocco with increased exposure, new economic opportunities, and most importantly, empowerment, so they may support themselves, their families, and the broader Moroccan economy.

We also continue to strongly emphasize and adhere to sustainable development and procurement, social responsibility, and ethical fair trade practices.
